Psalm 110
Announcement of the Messiah’s Reign
A Psalm of David.
1 The aLord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your bfootstool.”
2 The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength cout of Zion.
dRule in the midst of Your enemies!
3 eYour people shall be volunteers
In the day of Your power;
fIn the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,
You have the dew of Your youth.
And gwill not relent,
“You are a hpriest forever
According to the order of iMelchizedek.”
5 The Lord is jat Your right hand;
He shall 1execute kings kin the day of His wrath.
6 He shall judge among the nations,
He shall fill the places with dead bodies,
lHe shall 2execute the heads of many countries.
7 He shall drink of the brook by the wayside;
mTherefore He shall lift up the head.

Title Of David. A psalm.
1 The Lord says to my lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet.”
2 The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
3 Your troops will be willing
on your day of battle.
Arrayed in holy splendor,
your young men will come to you
like dew from the morning’s womb.
4 The Lord has sworn
and will not change his mind:
“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is at your right hand;
he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead
and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
7 He will drink from a brook along the way,
and so he will lift his head high.

until I humble your enemies,

2 The Lord will extend your powerful kingdom from Jerusalem;

3 When you go to war,
your people will serve you willingly.
You are arrayed in holy garments,
and your strength will be renewed each day like the morning dew.
4 The Lord has taken an oath and will not break his vow:
“You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord stands at your right hand to protect you.
He will strike down many kings when his anger erupts.
6 He will punish the nations
and fill their lands with corpses;
he will shatter heads over the whole earth.
7 But he himself will be refreshed from brooks along the way.
He will be victorious.

until I put your enemies under your control.”
2 The Lord will enlarge your kingdom beyond Jerusalem,
and you will rule over your enemies.
3 Your people will join you on your day of battle.

you have the freshness of a child.
4 The Lord has made a promise
and will not change his mind.
He said, “You are a priest forever,
a priest like Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is beside you to help you.
When he becomes angry, he will crush kings.
6 He will judge those nations, filling them with dead bodies;
he will defeat rulers all over the world.
7 The king will drink from the brook on the way.
